The wine production territory of The Cantina Sociale of Barletta is situated in the Apulian plain. The area is located between the Tavoliere delle Puglie and the flat country near the Murgie table land and the Adriatic sea.  In the Puglia region, the production of the wine comes from an old tradition which was acquired from the Greek population whose traditions started to spread all across Europe. Castles, cathedrals and archaeological remains tell us about the story of many dominations  witnessing the strategic position of the region, where sun and Mediterranean climate have made possible the development of the grape growing.
Puglia is today an unique territory which produces high quality wines. The DOC Rosso Barletta wine, which is made using grapes of Troia, Sangiovese and Montepulciano is expression of this excellence. ENGLISH
